-Wieck a waiting hall is erected – origin of the today’s guesthouse
and hotel. |

Opening of the light railway line Greifswald
– Wolgast with a stop in front of the bridge. The shipping company of the shipping line allows the joint use of their waiting hall for the light railway company. |
1899 |
The municipal authority of Greifswald grants
the excise licence to the waiting hall, which is extended
by the shipping company at the same time. |
1945 |
After the end of the war the removal of the
tracks and the light railway, which was called Fiery Elias
to Leningrad (today’s St. Petersburg) take place. |

The former waiting hall receives a
new excursion licence and shortly afterwards the name is changed
into Zur Brücke (“to the bridge”). |
1991 |
After an extensive reconstruction the guesthouse
Zur Brücke is shining in new splendour. |
1997 |
Acquisition of the guesthouse by family Kuniß. |
1998/99 |
Extension of the guesthouse to a hotel by constructing
9 hotel rooms above restaurant and winter garden. |
2009/10 |
Extension of the hotel by constructing 7 rooms,
a breakfast room and a lobby. |
